Superb nose with licorice, blackberry, garrigue, other red fruits. This is very intense and inviting. The palate shows a very nice strong acid drive and a great width, with matter on the sides. Licorice and blackberry play back to back notes all along. The mouthfeel is soft, until mid palate where some dusty tannins spice things up a notch. Very long finish with that tannic grain, licorice and blackberry. I'm probably biased as this is my uncle's wine (he bought shares in the vineyard 2 years ago) but this is one of the best grenache blend I've had. More Maury sec please!

Delicate & nuanced, like Pinot noir. Chicken or pork chop, not red meat, wine. — 3 years ago

I like this wine, it’s a very good burgundian pinot fix. The nose shows cherry juice, raspberry, earthy notes, black tea, a bit of toast and smoke, too. The palate is surpringly broad and thick, with cherry and raspberry notes all along, it's quite ripe and fruity. There is some tannins in the rear and a long and deliciously fruity finish, that goes on for a very long while, with a nice tanginess in the rear that is reminiscent of fresh raspberries. It's not super typical, it's rather modern and ripe but I love it. — 3 months ago
