This wine was purchased for cooking, and as the saying goes, sometimes I even get it in the food. Well, it is quite dry, although a tad oaky. I was in the mood for it, so it didn't bother me at all. I used it in a sauce for a creamy lemon butter pasta dish. It worked just fine, and tasted great, too. In fact, every Line 39 wine I have had has been good. — 2 years ago
Eric Sussman of radio coteaux produced this. He knows the drill. — 6 years ago
A very reasonably priced bottle. Sadly half of it went to the dish I was cooking, but it was delicious with a slow-cooked pork in wine sauce. — 6 years ago
Berries on the nose. Berries and herbs with light mouthfeel and mild tannins. Nice with a moderately spicy sweet potato and chorizo skillet dish, but it also serves as a stand-alone wine before or after dinner. — 7 years ago
At Fung’s dinner with brothers, Duck, meatballs, and noodles. This was firm yet rounded with diary notes minerals and dart fruits well balanced and good with the 8 Treasure Duck — 5 months ago

14.8% abv. Tasty. Dark thick fruits taste. Intense but pleasant. — 4 years ago
Color of ruby, clear. Nose of fresh cranberry, milky vanilla, licorice, spice, some strawberry ice cream, tangerine, and sweet sensation. Taste of spice and zest, some backbone tannins, sweetness, and fresh grapes. Aftertaste of some more warmth in the throat. Easy to drink. A bit sweet for me. On par. — 6 years ago
Deep purple colors in the glass. Heavy cab with blueberry, vanilla, and tasting notes of earth. Very yummy cab and went perfectly with pot roast. — 7 years ago
Enjoyable. Peppery and warm. Great summer wine and easy to drink — 7 years ago

1989 vintage. Last tasted 3 years ago (9.6). Nice fill. Durand used to open. Cork 95% saturated with extensive bottle rim cleaning involved before pouring. Not decanted. Tight, minty nose throughout along with a decided, lingering zinc note under the tongue at the finish line. Tasted 2 hours after opening. Power but without delineation. Just a consistent, forgettable push. Nothing wrong with the wine...it just needed more air/time and a decant but it wasn't my call. Feel like the zinc flavor would have dissipated/blown off with more time. Good but more memorable for what it wasn't vs what it was. Pity and an entire wasting of what could have been. 11.21.25. — 7 months ago

Really enjoyed this wine! Super smooth, an very easy to drink. A little fruity without being too sweet. — 6 years ago
Lives up to its name. Maraschino cherries on the nose. Bright, soft, mild acidity, great with a chill on it - would be perfect on a warm spring afternoon. — 6 years ago
Holy moly, where did this one come from!? This had the nose of full throttle drunken elderberries and freshly baked blackberry pie with pepper and spice and everything nice! This tastes like whole cluster Grenache If there really is such a thing. Black and blue, pepper and spice, black cherry cola, mouth coating, inky. Dissecting out all of the notes that were swirling around, it would take me probably an hour, and everyone would be bored and probably stop reading. This was massive. And has probably a couple of decades left! — 7 years ago
