Tough Hermitage competition last night and it ranked slightly behind top producers JL Chave and Jaboulet (La Chapelle). Not quite as long and explosive, but who’s to complain — 9 months ago
Funky but I’d get it again — 4 years ago
Lemon, crisp, dry, refreshing on its own, sweetens when paired with creamy dishes, goes great with Thai food. — 6 months ago
Eileen and Jack at apt in Paris with Roast Pork Tenderloin, mushrooms and Bak Choy. Good wine with a little spice-texture. Less than 10 euro grocery store selection — 3 years ago
Red Plum skins, black cherry, arugula. Still fresh and gamay’ish. Nice weight as it warms. Super nice balance. Nice tannic quality and while still retaining the freshness/juiciness of a Gamay. — 4 years ago
Just a ridiculously good value. I really dig this co-op. Saturated in color, with air the nose reveals rich, oozing dark berries, smoky campfire ashes, savory cured beef, crushed stone. In the mouth, it’s intensely flavored but well balanced. savory, clingy, minerally (in the bloody sense), but with a nicely voluptuous mouthfeel, tannins abundant but very soft. Love it. — 4 months ago
Nice mature well balanced. Earthy with dark fruit, garrigue and soft tannins. — 4 years ago
