All the rich flavors of a great medeira, but dry, with just a touch of sweetness. Loved it, but have to admit my sweet tooth wanted a little more. β 6 years ago
The Madeira that had the lowest number on the label was the 1845 Solera from Cossart. The last top up was apparently 1953, so this really wasn't nearly as old on average as some of the others. Dark brown with copper edges. Soapy on the nose. Quite short but attractive orange peel and spices. It might not be the oldest of the bunch, but it is rather past it. β 6 years ago

Caramel, maple, nutty and sweet aroma with an even sweeter taste. Sings a sweet song on your tongue as it crescendos with a lovely finish. Great sipping wine. β 2 months ago
