Competently made wine, but Leoville Barton is always my least favorite of the Leovilles. Just not very exciting or dynamic. Served with braised short-ribs in a savoy cabbage, with potato Napoleon, confit carrots, and a bitter chocolate jus. Medium plus in body with medium acidity.

Dry on the palate and easy drinking with nice complexity and mouthfeel.

Good right out of the bottle and better with airtime.

Still young and would be better in 5 to 10 years.

A blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc.
