August Sebastiani & brother-in-law, Kendrick Coakley, craft small-lot wines made with minimal intervention, so one can enjoy the truest representation of each appellation & how its terroir impacts specific varietals. Came across this rarity & tried several vintages, aged 20 months in French oak. Aromas of ripe berry fruits & floral spice notes. On the palate flavors of plum, raspberry & blueberry, cinnamon spice with tobacco and spice. Fine tannins, long finish ending with vanilla oaky. Great value! Small production. — 4 years ago
As this warmed above 50 degrees the flavors became quite complex and interesting. Herbal, vegetal, but unique and distinct flavors came out. Creamy in texture with umami in spades. Excellent — 5 years ago
I do like this Polish immigrant’s craft.
The blend of fruits are a broad spectrum of, sour, candied and floral, ruby, mid & dark, red fruits, dark, smooth spice, cinnamon stick, floral heaven & flat out elegance. The blue fruits in Paul’s wines are incredible.

I give this a high mark, as it is probably the best actual fruit tasting brandy I have ever had.
A bit of an alcohol that needs to burn off, yet once you get part this, the ripe Bartlett pear comes in, and keeps going, long after you have swallows and the alcohol has aired out. Crazy!

Freeman Vineyard & Winery is the fruition of a 20-year dream shared by Ken and Akiko Freeman to craft cool climate CA Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Aged for 11 months in French oak (about 25% new). Aromas of berry fruits with tea and tobacco notes. On the palate blackberry and cherry with tobacco and tea spice, soft tannins, well balanced, vivid acidity on lingering finish ending with earthy tones. Will keep in cellar for some time. — 7 years ago
Jean-Pierre, François and Pierre Perrin craft wines, inspired by the memory of their grandfather, Pierre Perrin. Mostly Grenache, this is a classic Châteauneuf du Pape. Vivid Ruby with dark fruit and spice aromas. On the palate flavors of blackberry and cherry with notes of herb pepper and leathery character. Soft tannins, good balance, long finish ending with fruit and spice, very nice! — 5 years ago

Rice vodka. Nice flavors — 7 years ago
Really nice Pinot noir from Craft. Has a bright rose petal aroma with cherry, raspberry and wood. Smells very alive for six years old and being under $30. Flavors are bright and medium intensity. Plenty of jammy red fruit but with some tangy citrus notes and lots of mild pepper. Drinks very fresh and has a medium lasting finish. Awesome bargain. — 3 years ago
The estate once belonged to the famous Lynch family, of Irish origin, acquired by Jean-Charles Cazes in 1934. His grandson, Jean-Michel Cazes restructured the estate in 1974, with state-of-the-art winemaking equipment. Primarily Cab Sauv, with Merlot, Cab Franc & Petit Verdot in the blend. Deep Ruby, complex nose, aged well, round berry fruit flavors, blackberry and plum with an oak character, elegant with soft tannins, a delicious wine ending with delicate fruit, oak and mineral notes. Great! — 5 years ago
Had this about 2 years ago. The estate once belonged to the famous Lynch family, of Irish origin, was acquired by Jean-Charles Cazes in 1934. His grandson, Jean-Michel Cazes restructured the estate in 1974. A blend of 73% Cab Sauv & 27% Merlot, deep Ruby (lost purple edges), pronounced berry fruit aromas with cacao and vanilla notes. On the palate blackberry and plum flavors with tobacco and espresso notes. Dusty fine tannins, long ending with an oaky mineral character. Developed well! Tasting Sample! — 6 years ago
This is amazing. Unlike any sort of Rose I’ve seen. Not dry. Rich I color. — 7 years ago
