At Cucina Enoteca Del Mar. A stunning wine! Cardamom nose. In the glass leather - touch orange zest . Definitely Elderberries - graphite and a potpourri of spices with the main component being white pepper??? Burgundy does seldom get better than this!!!! Drink now this is at its peak. A pricy proposition. Now just 5 bottles left in Southern CA I think. Addendum still excellent 48 hours later. So decanting can’t hurt. — 7 years ago

First off, delectable needs to update this location. La Cucina moved in after Roberta's closed last year, and is one of my favorite restaurants.
Love this wine! Doesn't drink nearly as big as it's abv. Dark, meaty, spicy fruit, with gravelly tannins. Definitely new world, but right in the pocket as far as balance. Not a bad bottle to start off with this evening. — 9 years ago
