Sweet, nice spices. Slight dryness but not much. Pleasant, berry aftertaste. Very aromatic, maybe too much. Nice pairing with an earthy or savory meal. — 3 years ago
Dense, with much of everything. Acidity, fruit and a bit of tannins begging for a handful of years in the cellar. Dancing on the edge of mousiness though, hope it sorts out over a year or two. — 4 years ago
Dark ruby in color with a short reddish rim. Not showing age at all.
Great nose with nice complexity.
Dry on the palate and full bodied with medium acidity.
Showing blackberries, black currants, cooked plums, cedar, tobacco leaf, light earth, herbs and chocolate notes.
Long and elegant finish.
This 18 year old Bordeaux blend from Napa Valley is drinking beautifully now. Rich and elegant. Powerful and fruit forward. Delicious by itself as a sipping wine.
I've had a few vintages of this wine and the 2012 was my favorite so far.

Well balanced wine! With a good tanines and soft, it's combine well with a hamburger too. Approved! — 3 years ago
2016 vintage. Light/delicate body but plenty of color that brings a requisite amount of punch. Nose a little hot. Big-time Baskin Robbins mint chocolate chip ice cream flavor dancing throughout the palate. Elegant, lengthy finish with the dancer adding a partnering hint of dill. — 3 years ago
From magnum. Tasted perfect with so much fruit and balanced with some wood, spice, and good tannin. Felt like it was perfect and didn’t really change a ton over a few hours of air. Great celebration wine. — 4 months ago
Simply delicious Burg! Light colored. Intriguing and attractive nose of forest floor red berries and an interesting mysterious note of woodsy perfume of some kind carrying through to a liveliness and dancing texture. More pure pleasure than the complexity and depth folks chase after. Excellent finish to cap it off. Hard to find. Hopefully another bottle left. Yum. What a GL 29 buy back then! A traditionally made wine, 50 barrels with no sulfur. Gardener than farmer as DR says! — 3 years ago
