The pear flavor really punches thru. Very flavorful. — a year ago
68 % meunier, 28% Chardonnay, 4% Pinot Noir, Bottled Jan 2018, Disgorged April 2022 — 2 months ago
2022 vintage. More color and richer flavors than expected. Medium body. Super harmonious with complementary acidity to finish up the proceedings. Quite the mouthful of Chablis. This was outstanding. Age it if you prefer but drinking very nicely now. 6.26.24. — 7 months ago
I love these Thevenet Cru Morgons but they need a lot of age on them. The 2022 today has beautiful fruit on the nose but underwhelms on the palate. I feel like they add fruit and intensity as they age. NB it’s helped a lot by a long decant - even this young. Ps did adding Charly to the label take something away? — 2 months ago
Fun and funky. A little yeasty but overall a solid natural beaujolais — 4 months ago
Best Chamblis to date. Heavy lime and green apple, high minerality. This borders on “be careful” level. Way too “drinkable.” Would absolutely buy again. — 9 months ago

Lovely cremant de Bourgogne. Traditionally, most of the cremants I enjoy are Alsatian, but this edges them all out. If there is a middle ground between Cremant and grower champagne, this is extremely close to grower champagne.
100% Pinot noir; dosage normally 4-5 g/l
My only regret about this wine was not having it with a full meal, as it seems supremely appropriate to have with food. Many cremants (IMO) start out with good intentions, but can’t hold up, normally because the mid-palate richness can’t imitate champagne. This Paul Nicolle challenges that previous mindset…clean, crisp, and commanding. Lemon, mineral/oyster shell, honeysuckle aromatics with typical BdN power on the palate. The mineral profile stays strong, with a frame of light lemon scone, and red berry fruit. Nice finish. At around $30, this is a no brainer. — a month ago
