Trying this 2020 as a sample given to me. Outstanding in every way . Could just smell this for the rest of the day. Very full for a Chiroubles but stays tight and structured with spiced deeper red fruits. Nice acidity. Interesting mineral and charcoal qualities in the background. The slightest hint of Brett. Had this 2022 at same time as the 2020 Chiroubles which was so spectacular it upstaged this very good Fleurie. Beep violet color, a little spice dark fruits and black stony structure with a hint of iron. — 13 days ago

Blackberry, black pepper, meat juice... This is textbook Syrah from Northern Rhône. The palate is a model of balance. Sheer acid and great matter. Good width and a lively mouthfeel. Pointy tannins a bit of a grain in mid palate. Very long finish with blackberry and those meat juice notes that are consistent with the nose. This is probably much too early to open it and I think it'd be better with food, but this is one of the best crozes I've had so far along with some cuvées from Combier. Great stuff! — 2 years ago
