Amazing wine for the price. The nose has rich buttery notes, but also a steely reductive character that could be confused with chablis. The palate delivers all the nose promises - caramel, fresh bread, and lemon, with slate and a salty twist. Surprisingly long. Punching massively above its weight. Strong buy! — 4 years ago

My first Joshua Cooper wine - had to check out the Young Winemaker of the year for 2020 awarded by Gourmet Wine Traveller magazine. Joshua has recently turned 32. This wine was quite rich and dense and a little closed aromatically - obviously quite young. Ripe plum, rose petals, with a little vegetal matter. - a big future ahead. Joshua has had wide experience with Australian wineries and in Burgundy with Domaine de la Vougeraie and Domaine Jean-Jacques Confuron. This wine from the cool climate Macedon Ranges with high profile neighbours like Bindi and Curly Flat. — 5 years ago

A monopole from the red heartland of Vougeot from the excellent ‘14 vintage (for white), my expectation was high.
Layers of lemon curd, pear skin, and crushed stone clouded by bruised apple and hazelnut on the nose. The palate is linear, saline, and mineral and has superb tension - maybe a bit too much.
Slightly over the hill, but compelling nevertheless. — 2 days ago
