Undoubtedly this family made some of the very best whites in the warm 2015 vintage, managing to capture a perfect blend of richness, fruit density and racy acids. 2015 Genevrières is stunning tonight, showing all of the above with the elegance of the Genevrières site on full display, with immense depth and captivating aromatics. When Lafon is on they’re so damn good and 2011 Genevrieres is superb, with notable density and concentration for the vintage, and perfectly developed for age 13, with a seamless balance of richness and elegance. It’s captivatingly aromatic with defined fruit, pastry cream and toasted macadamias layered in stony minerality, and the palate is so elegant and satiny with balanced acidity and a long, silky finale.
