Septembre Bourgogne Chardonnay 2022

A more regional Burgundy AOC expression, dominated by earthy notes and red berries, bell peppers and mushrooms notes. Mouthfeel was delicate and driven with some vanilla and ripe dark berries. Nicely smooth and elegant finish. Tannins were in the low side, and so was the abv @ 12.5% which make it quite approachable. — a month ago

les Greves Beaune Premier Cru Pinot Noir 2018

Medium Ruby red color with aromas of red fruits, floral and spice notes. On the palate flavors of cherry and plum with notes of cacao and pepper spice. Fine tannins, medium+ savory finish, ending with fruit, floral spice and slight earthy notes. Nice! Will age well! — 8 months ago

St-Nicolas-de-Bourgueil Vieilles Vignes Cabernet Franc 2020

Was so surprised at this one! Got it for a friend who loves Cab but is going to the Loire Valley and I wanted to show her a good expression of the reds from that region. Was delicious - easy to drink on its own or with food. Already bought a second bottle! $22. — 2 months ago

Les Fleurs Sauvages Mourvèdre 2021

Lovely wine, although not as refined as the Cab Sauv. Improved markedly a day after opening. Great value. — 3 months ago

Les Parcelles Brut Champagne Blend

Another great Champagne selection from one of my favorite shops, MCF Rare Wine. 70% Pinot Noir, 20% Chardonnay, 10% Pinot Meunier. Only 1670 cases per year. Lively acid, bubbles, texture and nuanced apple and citrus fruit under the dryness. For a very good price too. Beats many known producers with inflated price tags. — a year ago
