Domaine La Pomme De Pin

La Spinetta

Pin Monferrato Nebbiolo Barbera 2019

Ming L
9.1

The nose is vibrant and inviting, with bright red fruits woven with hints of baking spice, dried thyme, and a touch of bramble. The palate shows a darker, earthier profile than the fragrant bouquet suggests, yet the fruit remains intense and lively. Tannins are supple but persistent, lending a juicy, grippy texture that lingers.
Lovely Nebbiolo/Barbera blend.

Le Vieux Pin

Retouche Cabernet Syrah 2027

This wine is composed of 56% Merlot, 23% Syrah, and 21% Cabernet Franc. The longer it stayed in my glass, the better it tasted. It has pronounced aromas of dark plum, dark cherry, and blackberry, along with a hint of pepper and some spiced herbs. The wine is complex, well-rounded, and balanced, featuring smooth tannins and a long finish. — 17 days ago

Château Le Pin

Pomerol Red Bordeaux Blend 2006

Wow a treat! Color is a dark beautiful cranberry. On the nose: essence of dark fruit and sweet floral jump from the glass with primary notes of roasted meat, wet forest floral and subtle chocolate mint. Taste: silky smooth and luscious coating the palate with red fruit, cedar, earthy soil, crushed rock and minerals with a medium plus spice dark chocolate finish. Yummy for sure and wonderful way to start off the first Friday of the new year!! — 5 months ago

Cloudy Bay

Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2021

So I wanted to taste the legend of SB in NZ. The nose is great with lemon and other citrusy notes, that typical cat piss note, other herbal notes i am not able to pin. The palate is very well made with a massive acid backbone, some lemon, citrusy notes all along, a good width and some very lively mouthfeel. The finish is long and extra fresh with those citrusy notes. That's exquisite! It reminded me of some Sancerre I had — 3 years ago

Château La Tour du Pin Figeac (Moueix)

St. Emilion Red Bordeaux Blend 1998

Truncated dinner party notes. Surprised this was still kicking as vigorously as it is. Yes, still red fruit, but with secondary and tertiary notes adding so much complexity. Delicious. — 16 days ago

2018 vintage. Last tasted 6.11.24 (9.3), 2.18.22 (9.2) and 10.20.21 (9.2). Just getting better and better. From the peeps that deliver Le Pin and L'If. Absolutely shredding for the QPR. Picking it up at under $30 USD a btl. Unavailable locally so hadda undergo a quest/journey to pick up a decent amount. Quest/journey is about to start yet again...04.15.25. — 2 months ago

Le Vieux Pin

British Columbia Petit Blanc 2022

The Sauvignon blanc lightly shows through with subtle notes of gooseberry and lime but is completed well by the Pinot Gris and Marsanne with hints of tropical fruits and subtle florals. A very good wine! — 10 months ago
