Gamay/Syrah from the great Mickael Bourg and what a wine. Grapey nose full of life and fruit. Purple fruits galore and also some meat, savory and blood components. Wild mint, blackberry flower, sweet herbs and so much more. Joyous. Really gamey but in a sweet fruity way if that make any sense. Now the olives and meat juice goes into overdrive. That palate is giving Crozes x Cornas. So juicy and bright with terrific freshness and acidity. Really clean and so pure. Killer summer red. The nose is out of sight. Sweet, silky tannins and such insane tiny berry fruit intensity and wonderful length. So good. What a wine. This keeps getting better and better with air. Wow. So sleek and olivey and unreal purity. Maybe 9.4? Let’s see more air. — 2 months ago
Fresh and lively. More toward the mi real dude than the fruit. Loved it. — 2 years ago
La Bidode Chardonnay 100% from Overnoy-Cinquand, a small domaine of around 5 hectares in Pupillin (within the Arbois appellation) now operated by Mickaël Crinquand, a distant relative of the master Pierre Overnoy. Fermented and aged for 2 years in oak barrels with no topping up (ouillage). Medium to full bodied. Nutty, honeyed, notes of caramel and oak. Crisp apple. Minerals. — 5 years ago
Pale gold in color; yellow apple, star fruit, and lime peel on the nose; medium acidity; tastes like white flowers, white peach, and saline with a long finish. Nellie, Esmi, and I like it. — 5 months ago
