— 4 years ago
Popped and poured. The 2012 pours a deep ruby, with a near opaque core; medium+ viscosity with moderate staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is vinous with notes of blackberries, desiccated cherries, prune, pipe tobacco, new leather, purple flowers, wet rocks, and baking spices. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ tannin and medium acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium+ and quite satisfying. The texture is luxurious. This drinking well now and should continue to do so for a least a few more years but why wait? — 10 months ago
