Wow. A big, beefy wine with tremendous structure under the heavy fruit and smoke. Viscous on the palate. Was open for hours, and kept developing. A classy wine. In Boca. — 3 days ago
Golden hay color. Aromas of pineapple, honey, apple, peach, white floral, and lemon. Beautifully balanced with a hint of minerality. Dry, medium body and acidity. Best white wine I’ve had in a while! — 2 months ago
A favorite from Spain, the Ribera del Duero is a wonderful blend that gets the green light for approachability and high score for its depth and silkiness . Wow. Great balance and wonderful with a taste that touches the buds on the back of my tongue. — 9 days ago
A captivating blend of crushed violets, lavender, blackberries and wet stone wafts up from the 2021 Saia. Cool-toned and lifted in feel, a potent core of ripe red and blue fruits provides a framework as juicy acidity adds freshness. An enjoyably bitter tinge of tangerine forms toward the close. Staining and long, the 2021 finishes off with a coating of fine tannins and a saturation of primary concentration that creates a slightly chewy sensation toward the close. This is a fantastic and energetic rendition of Saia, a varietal Nero d'Avola that I expect will age quite nicely. (Eric Guido, Vinous, June 2024)
