Do not pass up an opportunity to buy this wine. Expensive Nerello but worth every cent. Tart red fruit with smoke and scorched earth. Complex but very easy drinking. — 3 months ago
Certified organic. Bright but not too citrusy; a hint of salinity — 6 months ago
Really a mind expanding wine. Would never have guessed Aglianico or 2008 or 15%. Quite herby and earthy but with some core of fruit too - long finish with good acid. Lovely mouthfeel as well. And a great pairing with Marcella Hazan’s long cooked bolognese. — 2 years ago
I’m biased. Tart red fruit, faint vanilla, leather, young finish — 15 days ago

Medium ruby in color; blackberries, plums, and dried leaves on the nose; medium minus acidity; medium plus tannins; tastes like strawberries, hibiscus, and crushed gravel with a long finish. Nellie says it's ok. I like it. — 6 months ago
At nine years old, this may have been a touch past its prime, but it still drank pretty well. Dark fruit and tobacco were dominant on the nose and palate, with hints of earth, cinnamon, and pepper coming through as well. Would like to try a younger bottling sometime soon for comparison. 100% Mayolet. 5/5/25. — 5 months ago
This wine has a medium ruby color to it. The nose is full of black fruit and savory aromas. Plum, blackberry, and currant bring sweetness, which is balanced by notes of earth, tar, and pepper. The palate shows clean, fresh fruit and a brisk acidity with firm tannins. It's a great chance to add the Gaglioppo grape to your century club list. — 10 months ago
