40% Carignan 30% Grenache 20 / 10 Syrah Mourvèdre . Lovely wine, big but refined, elegant even for the region. High toned, cherry fruited, decent lift on the mid palate , was recommended with squid in a parsley sauce and it worked quite well. After tasting too much flat, dull, sweet Grenache here in the Gard this came off as downright refreshing. — 3 years ago
Really nice light, savory, fruity. Very good deal under $100 last 2 bottles at formentos. — 8 months ago
Wet rocks, decomposed soil. Buttery, a little oak — 3 years ago
Syrah/carignan/cinsault. Fantastic “singing fox” — 4 years ago
Well still alive and kicking with secondary forest and leaves coming into what is left of black fruit notes. It was under ten bucks back then. Value! — 5 years ago

2011. Last bottle of L’Argentier. It was great to have multiple bottles their Syrah, Grenache, Cinsault, and Rosé in the cellar this past decade. Always drinkable and great with food. The Grenache was my favorite, but the age on this Cinsault mellowed out the tartness and underripe flavors I noted early on. Big cherry on the nose and initial taste, then some spicy earth and smooth tannins. — 7 months ago
