Nice - not overly jammy, and with a distinct taste of orange peel. — 4 months ago
Smooth Syrah at a great price, would definitely buy again! — 7 months ago
This is delicious and extraordinarily well-preserved. Earthy and a little feral, still with sappy, juicy, kirschy, rhubarby fruit present. There’s the classic Yakima ashy fire pit scents as well (thank you Mt. St. Helens!). So velvety in the mouth, with meaty, savory, and still vaguely berryish flavors. A treat! — a month ago
Solid Washington State Cab. (Actually mostly Cabernet Sauvignon (84%). There is some Merlot (15%) and Petite Verdot (1%) blended in). Dark ruby color with purple highlights. Aromas of cherry, blackberry, black raspberry, rose petals and exotic spices. Same collection of fruits on the palate with additional notes of dark chocolate, fresh herbs, coffee and toasted oak. Nice hint of vanilla on the medium-plus finish. Well balanced, good acidity level and a bit lean and lighter bodied than many Cabs. (Refreshing change) Noticeable alcohol. With more bottle age, this wine should be even better. Thanks for sharing this one, Keith S! — 3 months ago
This wine is aging beautifully. Color just starting to brick at the outer rim. Laid-back nose shows warm, smoky gravel, smoked meat, rich plummy berry fruit, braised collard greens. Subtle and showing secondary flavors in the mouth, some fruit but mostly stoney, minerally notes. Soft texture, with acidity still keeping this fresh. Only 13.7%. Delicious. — 8 months ago
Apples, straw, meadows, acid- very lovely — 2 months ago
Complex nose shows ash pit, orchid, a cigar-box/roasted asparagus amalgam, olive, and cured beef. There’s also some oozy berry fruit. So soft on the palate. A lighter style, with completely resolved tannins and really nice acids. Not a blockbuster but very elegant. Drink now. — 6 months ago

There are a handful of benchmark Cabernet Sauvignon wines from Washington. Gramercy Cellars makes one of my favorites. Something I look forward to in all wines is ripeness/not overripe and this 2011 balances and delivers. I love the floral notes in Cabernet Sauvignon. Theirs often deliver a signature violet-perfume aroma that’s fantastic. There are more expensive wines from Walla Walla, or elsewhere in Washington but none better. — 13 hours ago
