Ernst Loosen Pfalz Pinot Gris 2014

What a great wine! Perfect for a light meal with a roasted butternut and arugula salad and some leftover roast chicken. Delightful and light finish, with mouth-puckering acid. Yummy! — 7 months ago

Rich, full, lush. A great Xmas party wine for them what like flavour. Best when it is on sale- full price is a bit steep in my view. A lovely cab. — 6 years ago

Reiterpfad Riesling 2014

Rich with ripe apricots, some pineapple and ripe, sweet Sicily lemons... with a mineral foundation and great acidity & touch of salinity. Great length & complexity... this is quite full & rich but with precision. Brilliant. — 7 years ago

A great Okanagan Pinot Noir from a family run winery. Good balance, the right amount of acid with a touch of cranberries. Sipping this wonderful wine at Island Lake Lodge the home of world class cat skiing ⛷ on a beautiful Christmas Eve. Cheers 🎄🍷🇨🇦 — 8 years ago

Trocken Riesling 2022

Crisp and bone dry German Riesling perfect for hot days. This trocken from the Pfalz is a great example of those German wines. Delicious, but not for everyone. — 2 years ago

GG Kirchberg Spätburgunder 2017

Amazing aromatics with ripe raspberry,, fresh strawberry, some woody undergrowth, a hint of mushroom, a bit of moss. Delicate & refined. There a pinch of spice, too. Vera spacious & aetheric.
On the palate this is smooth, with fresh acidity, great purity & depth. Crunchy, fresh, so juicy. And so fine! The tannins dusty & finely grained.
A light, Musigny style Pinot, delicate yet with character & presence. Soo good!

Wachenheimer Gerümpel PC Riesling 1998

Very aromatic with yellow plums, Mirabelle, apricots in honey... a touch of thyme. Sweet in the nose, initially sweet on the palate but with the acidity shining and balancing everything amazingly. Honey, lemons, a touch of caramel, tea like aftertaste. Great complexity and amazing length.

Only knock is that it could use a tad more depth but great balance of peppery bites and blackberry, very smooth — 8 years ago

Pfalz Dry Riesling 2021

Lemon, lemon peel, orange, pineaple and a tad of chalk : the nose is quite complex! The palate is very well balanced, crisp and clean with a superb acid backbone, nice touches of lemon an pineaple all along, a vivid and dynamic mouthfeel and a long clean and fresh finish with this citrusy tune which is played all along the backbone. That's great! — 4 years ago

Wachenheimer Riesling 2013

Fresh & very lively after 5,5y in the bottle - lemon & lime with green apricot. Great minerality and some spice adds to the complexity. Very nice precision & shows nicely that even the more basic Rieslings from great producers can age well! — 7 years ago
