First vintage under the ownership of Le Pin. The nose starts off with abundant of blueberry, blackberry and cassis, and then turns to warm spices, black pepper, graphite, and hint of cigar box. Medium to full elegant body. Bitter sweet long finish.

Gamay from Cornas. Love this wine. Gorgeous nose of stanky and pungent Gamay fruit. Violets, dark berry, granite and just so floral. Like a flower shop. So juicy and energetic with tremendous fruit and more finesse than previous years. Terrific acidity. Has a hint of rusticity and some big tannins but they are so ripe. Love how at once this is grapey like Gamay can be but also displays the fantastic energy of the granite soils. After 5 hours of air palate is a bit creamier and nose is so much more enveloping. — 7 days ago
