Very dark in colour - almost black. Lots of everything - ripeness, oak, blackberry, dark chocolate. The sort of wine I would have loved in my 20’s, not so much in my 70’s. Not for lovers of delicate wine - this is full throttle. This Australian producer is probably better known in the USA than Australia - like Mollydooker. A full bodied palate with M plus intensity and grainy tannins. Ranked No. 3 in Wine Spectators Top 100 wines of 2012. Not sure that extended cellaring will make a huge difference but will try to have the last one in early 2027. — 3 months ago
Loved this wine. Would go great with gamey meats. — 4 months ago
Quite deep ruby , with thin ruby garnet rim. Quite rich and decadent on the nose , plum , ripe cassis , oak , blackberry , coffee and dark chocolate . On the palate again rich and quite sweet , with dark plum , cassis , blackberry and coffee hints . There are some spice notes and chocolate richness on the medium length finish . The alcohol is a little noticeable, just balanced acidity and quite fine , polished tannins . Unapologetically juicy and quite rich , if lacking a little complexity. Though this will age ok , I would prefer to drink over the next 5 -7 years . — a day ago
Really a lovely Bordeaux style blend from Sullivan in Napa. I am biased as I spent a summer working there. Quite seamless, some nice cassis, has really come into balance. Bit of that very nice menthol laced acid refreshing note on the finish. Delicious and wonderful pairing with steaks on the grill. — 2 months ago
Deep ruby/purple opaque, pepper, tobacco and red fruit, lovely Shiraz — 3 months ago
Solid choice for easy drinking. Not too bitter and not too sweet for me. — 5 days ago
Very smooth Nice finish of cherry and blackberry — 3 months ago
Light golden color. Nice hint of petrol right out of the bottle. Additional aromas and flavors of peach, nectarine, green apple, pineapple, honey and an intense lime note. A pleasant sour note on the finish. Bold, fruit forward and round with excellent mouthfeel. Crisp, but just a bit short on acidity. — 5 months ago

A cabernet from down-under. Why not?
The nose shows intense notes of cherry, black currant, graphite, some oak and some mentholy note too. The palate shows a great acid drive, a wonderful cassis note shining through and through, some width, some weight on the sides, a lively, grippy mouthfeel that evolves into a very strong tannic wall in the rear. The mid palate is massive and powerful and leaves a fine grain all over a finish that lasts for a very long time with that shiny black currant note, a reminiscence of that menthol thing and a gentle bitter note in the very end too. It's very young and should benefit from a couple of additional years in bottle. Good stuff! — 5 days ago
