Old Vine Pinot. Indelicate bouquet and slight tannic structure. — 2 years ago
Exquisite, velvety, complex yet totally smooth in it’s transitions. Cherry, marzipan, violet — 4 years ago
The 2nd wine in the Gevrey Chambertin 2016 Grand Cru lineup tasted blind. My original notes said some whole bunch in evidence , which later was partly right when the identity was revealed. Perrot Minot use whole berry maceration but the grapes are de stemmed. Red fruits predominate on the rich and powerful palate. Quite savoury (I thought coming from the stems) with medium tannins. I have little experience with this producer but Roscoe from Prince is a huge fan. Saying the structure and power comes from tiny yields, old vines and thick skins. — 4 years ago
I need more. I can’t stop smelling this glass filled with potpourri, dry dirt, ripe raspberries, red currant. Still a good tannic structure with lush acidity. My mouth just salivates right down the sides of the tongue. Then the dirt flavors kick in, minerals, red currant hits first, raspberries, dried roses, and a touch of vanilla on the finish with a hint of blood orange. This is beautiful. — 2 years ago
