Didn’t like this one as much as the first I had. This was more fruit forward with a ton of funk and acidity. After a few hours it was better but given the high amount of acidity and fruit I’m not sure it’ll get better. Reminds me of a good carbonic Grenache or other rhone varietal. Some olives in there as well. It’s good. — 4 months ago
So good, funk initially then really rich and beautiful. — 12 days ago

This is so freaking good! Grenache white pepper, dark fruits, spices galore, some forest, a touch of meat, but so fresh despite 6 years. This reminds me of pax hillsides with a bit less tapenade. I feel like this wine, tribute to grace, Jolie laude, and pax are the best representations of Grenache in USA — 8 months ago
"Clochan" comes from a single vineyard planted to a field blend of Mencia, Graciano, Carignane, Grenache and Nero d'Avola. Bass notes of game, leather and damp earth support a core of sweet cherry fruit” — a year ago
This is actually perennial, but who knows with the naming. From website it is Tempranillo with a million Spanish and port field blend grapes grown in Oregon. Amazing amount of tannin. But the fruit comes through. So many berries in the bramble. A hint of wood, cherry, plum, leather, berries, dry tannin. Good with a burger. So interesting. I don’t think I have another bottle. Would love to try this in 10-20 more years. — 2 months ago
Wow! One of my favorite wineries on Father’s Day. So much earth, meat, sour berries, funky, fresh. Drunk outdoors after a thunderstorm in the mountains of Montana with some bison burgers. I feel like this is what the wine is meant for. So ethereal and complex, but yet enough brawn to make everyone happy. — 7 months ago
@Delectable Wine this is atavus VII (7). If I tasted this blind I would say Austria or Slovenia or Georgia etc. wine for sure. Jasmine tea, jasmine flowers, lemon, comforting herbs, grapefruit, really fancy sea salt, so many flowers! Top us orange wine. — 9 months ago

Interestingly it was almost impossible for me to tell the difference between the 2019 and 2021. So much lovely crunchy fruit. Great wines. — 12 days ago
