My deep dive into northern rhone beauties continues. As with any wine, the right producer and the right vineyard and the right year makes all the difference. You know when JD does a loud sigh at first sip, we gonna party. A large rustic fruit presence with medium tannins and some VA making it a similar wild experience as some good Rinaldi. Def that grandpas attic bouquet. But then the savory inky elements kick in and a luxurious finish is the finale. — 2 years ago

Started off incredible. Cherry and fresh cranberry jumping out of the glass. Medium weight. Perf for lamb chops. Then the Spice and green pepper hit and the wine shut down for 30 minutes. JD took it home and said it starting expressing itself better after 3 hours. — 2 years ago

April 9, 2022. Dinner w/Jack D & J2. JD brought the wine. Decanted 1 hour. Young but so lovely. Well integrated tannins, balanced. Med bodied, black fruit, tobacco. — 3 years ago
