L'Efecte Volador Montsant Red Blend 2022

I’ve been told by locals that Montsant is the region that makes Priorat style wines but at a better value (and they don’t mean that euphemistally, they do mean better value). On the map, it almost envelops Priorat. So far, so true. Raspberries and stone fruit predominate. Maybe a touch hot. Didn’t blow my mind, but it’s definitely a competently made wine from good grapes. I will definitely be back for this one. — 7 months ago

Weiss & Grau Burgunder Weißburgunder Grauburgunder 2022

Very accessible orange wine without any hint of being overly “natural”. Crisp and the bit of skin contact gives it just enough body and texture to be interesting. — 5 months ago

Brut Nature Cava Macabeu

Has an apple-y ness & off dry approach which is scrumptious. As much a white wine as it is sparkling. Bordering on medium bodied and stood up to a weeknight meal of roasted sweet potatoes and shallots with harissa and mint, as well as baked chicken thighs with a garlic yogurt sauce and roasted cauliflower. — 2 years ago

Petita Julieta Montblanc Rosat Trepat 2019

Lovely deep ballsy wine. Lots of fruit, but other pepper flavors too. Works well with a nice pasta, a steak or jamon. Will definitely be coming back for more. — 4 years ago
