Neither Knapp nor Gertz is my favorite go to but this Dry version is exceptional. Lots of pear and green apple on the nose - minerality and crisp acid followed by some lingering bitterness that you don’t expect but really makes this special. — 4 years ago
Yum! Why haven’t we been enjoying Siegerrebe the whole time? What is it? As it turns out, this grape is a cross between Gewurtraminer and Madeleine Angevine from the early 20th century Germany. Nowadays, it’s primarily grown only in Canada and Upstate NY. Playful and off-dry without being too sweet, it’s a fun quaff that I recommend if you can find it. Pasta White blend was a "dry" white that is fantastic with pasta. From the finger lakes which has wines in the sweeter side of things. It was delicious with tastes of apple with a dry but delicious after taste making a forkful of pasta that much more delectable — 4 years ago
