Surprised how much I like this! I’m not a fan of Argentine Malbec, as a rule. But Cab Franc? Different story. Nose has graphite, roasted herbs, walnut husks, dark cherry. Mouthfilling and soft, this is deep and balanced. Very old world impression from this. — 8 days ago

Suuuper dark color, with reds and purple hues perfectly meshed and looooong slow legs despite the alleged 13.9 ABV. Nose of ripe dark plum, blueberry, mossy wet wood, strawberries, peppery notes and chocolate. Still got a sharp bite being so young, with notes of iron, plum, dark cherry, dark chocolate and red meat on the palate. Tasty, but not blown away. Smoked some beef back ribs. This went amazingly well with them. Raspberry and strawberry, some pepper and tobacco. I generally dislike the green pepper presence in cab franc. This didn’t have that. Moderate tannins. Great for bbq. Not expensive. — 5 months ago
