Clos Erasmus

Laurel Priorat Garnacha Blend 2017

Quite some complexity has developed in the last one and a half year since my previous bottle. Delicious now but still upwards potential in the coming 1-3 years. — 6 days ago

A great producer. Their top Cuvée is quite expensive.

I recently bought some Clos Erasmus, that obviously needs some years of cellar time. This is excellent qpr, I think I payed like 30€ for the Laurel. At that price point you get a very well made, serious wine!

PnP. Better than most single Vineyard Cabs from Sequoia Grove. Dark red color. Dark cherries and anise, with subtle baking spices. Medium depth but finish was lacking. Better than expecting. — 3 months ago

Sequoia Grove

Winemaker Series Cabernet Sauvignon 2019

This is Sequoia Groves entry level Napa Cab, but it punches well above its price point. At 5 years old it was a Lucious, fruit forward cab that paired well with a variety of food, especially red meat. Nice nose, It Also enhances the flavor of chocolate. Very approachable wine. PnP. Beautiful dark red color. Massive oak bomb on the nose and palate. Oak over powers everything else. Very big, deep wine. Medium finish. — 3 months ago

Well made and structured cab. Blackberry, licorice, espresso, brandied black cherry. Give it another 10-15yr. — 25 days ago

PnP. Much better than expected. Dark red color. Integrated dark cherries and oak. More expressive and bolder than previous bottles. Medium depth. Still overpriced, but not a disappointment. — 2 months ago
