2015 vintage. 37,5 cl bottle. Golden colour. Intense perfume with caramel, roasted nuts, dried pineapple and orange peel. The idea is a more accessible style of Sauternes that could work as an aperitif, but after 10 years, this has beautifully evolved into something more complex and rich, while refreshing acidity keeps the sweetness in check. Heavens to Betsy this is delicious! I don't like using the word "smooth" to describe wine, but this Cabernet Sauvignon is Miles Davis. It's so good. Hard to pin down the fruit... blackberry, blueberry, cherry, tobacco, sweet cream, vanilla. A bit of lavender. Such soft, lingering tannins on the finish. Makes your teeth purple! I really love this wine, but I can't afford it.
