2006 vintage. The unlabeled bottle on the left. This one is brandy fortified late harvest petite sirah. Very pleasant, styled much more like a traditional port than their regular late harvest petite sirah which is not fortified. Some heat evident here, though it doesn’t detract from the fruit. Smooth and sweet with a medium short finish. — 8 years ago

Pretty deep ruby garnet with garnet , terracotta . Quite sweet , spiced , dried fruit nose , slightly volatile nose . On the palate this is better , meaty and rich spiced dried dark fruits, plum , fig. Quite grippy tannins and balanced acidity . Good density and rich meaty finish , a little porty, pretty good length . Dense and rich , much more than expected . Still dense and really quite young, held up well in the glass , this would probably continue at this level for a further 5-10 years . — 2 years ago
Medium gold; medium intensity aromas of baked yellow apple, apple blossom, quince, yellow plum, cinnamon; dry , medium plus acid, low but firm tannins, low alcohol, medium body, medium plus intensity flavors consistent with aromas and including apple skin; very good — 4 years ago

— 6 years ago
A deep, robust, full bodied Malbec with a slightly acidic finish. — 8 years ago
Last bottle of this. It has steadily transformed into something amazing. I would have loved to have inserted this in to a tasting of 2009 classified growth Bordeaux. Color is showing some maturity. Nose is open and complex, with cedar, sandstoney gravel, roasted peanut, and lovely blackcurrant. Soft in the mouth, with concentrated flavors but in a balanced frame. Ripe fruit, acids, and tannins in balance. So good. — 2 years ago
