WOW. Compared to the Szpesy, so much more power and concentration. I agree with the waiter-- in contrast the Szpesy feels "lazy" (even though it's a great wine in its own right) — 10 years ago

2014. Fermented and aged in 1500 liter barrels. Nice and soft and smooth. Very lightly pleasant. Szoke means "blond" and is the family name. — 10 years ago

The wine in the picture is an orange wine and this vintage is actually not a furmint but hárslevelű. Narancsbor in Hungarian means orange wine that is it is macerated in contact with the grape skins and hence it becomes an orange color. This vintage (2015) is not as strong as the 2011 (which was really furmint) was. It is rather fruity but for my taste the acidity is a bit lower than expected. — 9 years ago
