Nose has recently cut yellow apple, fresh pineapple, cane sugar and faint beeswax.
Palate has tart/under-ripe pineapple/yellow apple, lemon zest with mild chalky notes; plenty of acid to keep the palate lively. A great vintage for white Burgundy; A standout bottle from a heavily diminished case.
Paired with boneless chicken thighs, gnocchi, Parmesan cream sauce and kale from the garden (picked today, January!). — 10 months ago

The single vineyard here was the Marchiori vineyard that Paul Hobbs made famous under the Viña Covid label. He used the Dolium winery for a few years before he opened his own. Still shows quite well. — a year ago

2024 summer. This is being sold at a steep discount by the importer because of marks on the bottles, so I bought several. Notably golden, with lots of spicy apple pie and a bit of vanilla ice cream on the nose. Reveals flashes of mineral and lemon over several days - curious to compare to the other bottles — 4 months ago
