Supple blue and red fruits, lovely balance. — 4 months ago
The 2014 Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru certainly has one of the more attractive bouquets with redcurrant and cranberry, a touch of tobacco and marine aromas (cockle sheds I used to play on in the Thames Estuary). The palate is well balanced, with a touch of curry leaf on the entry and more black than red fruit. The 2014 has a firm grip with a noticeable backbone, yet the finish has plenty of freshness. Drinking well now, but there are a few years left to enjoy. (Neal Martin, Vinous, June 2024)

Deep ruby color; dried herbs, plums and black cherries on the nose; high acidity; medium plus tannins; tastes like sour cherries, raspberries, and wet slate with a long finish. It's a little bitter at the end, but a very interesting wine. Not bad. I think it will pair well with the Ruben I ordered. — 3 years ago
Dry…..medium body….cherries…….subtle earthy undertones — 3 years ago
Lemon Yellow in colour. Muted nose initially giving a mineral and lemon note. Very lemony and citrus generally on the palate, eventually a stony, river pebble like minerality. Bracing acidity which will see this go on for a few more years. The following day a marine shell note. Preferred the 2013 Deep Woods Reserve Chardonnay for a quarter of the price. — 5 years ago
I think that I found a Pinot that I prefer over Flowers. — a year ago
The 2009 Latour has an open and generous bouquet: a mixture of red and black fruit and touches of graphite and loam. This vintage displays a light marine/brine influence. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins, a fine bead of acidity, a firm grip and superb balance. This is very focused, with impressive salinity on the finish that lingers nicely. This is an extraordinarily beautiful Latour. Tasted blind from double magnum at a 20-year retrospective at the château. (Neal Martin, Vinous, February 2024)

Slightly deeper ruby garnet , narrower rim . Deeper and younger , touch of wood smoke then quite ripe black fruits , rounder with better definition on the nose than the 1994 . More degraded cassis and grafite noticeable than the wine before, tobacco , touch of seashell , marine influence comes though . On the palate the fruit fills out better than the 1994, quite dark and serious , grafite , tobacco and cedar , however the tannin is less rustic and better integrated . Nice balancing acidity. This has quite good length and is showing well now though could age a little longer. Probably is best drunk over the next few years — 3 years ago
Fantastically crisp. Works well with the Caribbean spices at this excellent restaurant. The wine has notes of rhubarb and citrus, with aftertaste that lingers. Floral to the nose. — 4 years ago
Finesse, delicacy, complexity and focus
Quince, cedar and thyme tea
White pepper, almond spread and white choc
A field of flowers(mainly yellow)
Lemon curds, dill, breadcrumbs and more and more
Seaweed and strongly marine
Whispered rather than shouted class
Every swirl is a discovery, a subtle win of aromas
Toffees and cappuccino coming out of the glass with the rising temperature
It goes without saying the fun
So long aftertaste
12% in alcohol
This is the gotha of the Italian white wines
Still decades ahead i am sure
It could easily rank a Grand Cru status
Grab it if you can..and then age it — 5 years ago
Dark, inky black crimson.
A berry bouquet is draped with tannins.

Loved this pinot for our main course at single thread! Hotpot. Fruit forward. Kenlee had the chardonnay which was nice and Bordeaux style — 4 years ago
Quite reductive at first, sinewy and fleshy, ripe and intense lemon curd, apple and pear, smoke, mineral and marine elements, classic Chablis notes but amped. Great potential but could use some more time to harmonize — 5 years ago
