Super tasty with a finish that makes you want more. Great value at this quality. — 4 years ago
Rich & intense: Asian pear, yellow apple, lemon. A little spicy on the finish. Slight RS. Rangen de Thann sourced field blend of Pinot Gris, Riesling, Gewurtztraminer — 7 years ago
Celebrating Bastille Day with the spring dinner of the Confrerie St Etienne of Alsace association. Wonderful menu and perfectly paired wines.
A unique blend...Pinot Blanc and muscat. The muscat was most noticeable on the nose and finish, showing some sharp, sweetened pear and honeycomb. The pinot Blanc was dominant on the front and mid palate with melon, honeysuckle and almond. — 8 years ago
Super gold, residual gas, very honey, honeysuckle, white flowers. Peach, nectarine, apricot on the palate. Super fun and exciting wine. — 9 years ago
One of the Hunter Valleys premium Cuvees honouring the legendary Maurice O’Shea. Very dark ruby - impenetrable in colour. Aromatics of sweet earth - very earthy - plum, red berry and dark chocolate - very Hunter Valley. Amazingly strong for a 27 year old wine. Very Rich, full bodied and concentrated for a Hunter Valley wine. I’ve commented on this before that there was a period of 10 plus years where HV wines were made to imitate South Australian wines - ripe and full bodied. This wine represents that style. Thankfully the current style is more medium bodied but nevertheless this is an outstanding wine with at least 10 plus years left in it. — a month ago

16,5+/20 — 9 years ago
Delicious, bright, great depth of flavor. Tasted beautifully with a loaded hummus (fresh cucumbers, peppers, olive oil) and heavier cheese and fatty meats. — 5 months ago
Awesome stuff. Oxidative notes, stone fruit skins, on first contact. Basically some kind of fruity bitterness/nuttiness to start. Backed by tropical notes of pineapple and good citrus! Fun amount of acid it give it energy!! Just a really good drink. — 6 months ago
Balanced, pepperish taste Syrah. Went well with bison hamburgers. — 5 years ago

Golden wine, slight evidence of gas. Lees on the nose, pear, Asian pear, honey, citrus. On the palate, bruised apple, bitter melon, pear, orange peel, citrus fruit, very nice body. Acidity med +, alcohol is low. Juicy fun wine! Got my somm study cards in the background 😂 — 9 years ago

This is the Aloxe-Corton Blanc. (@Delectable Wine has misidentified 3 of the last 4 wines I’ve posted, and doesn’t have the actual wine listed when I search. 😠). Entirely from the lieu-dit Les Caillettes. Notes to follow.
OK, I was cooking when I opened it, so let it sit until I was finished stirring the risotto. Good thing I let it sit, because it was giving nothing away initially. As it warms and airs, there are subtle and enticing scents of crushed limestone, straw, apple and almost ripe peach. Silky soft textured, the palate is subtle with light buttery notes, gravel and crushed stone. Some very subtle orchard fruit. Very distinctive. — 9 days ago
