2013 vintage. The Premier Cru "Clos du Roi" (or sometimes spelled "Roy") is considered by many the best vineyard in Mercurey. 2013 was a challenging vintage in many respects, but this is delicious. Intriguing nose with coffee beans and cherries, intertwined with floral and herbal impressions. Very fresh in the mouth, with juicy sour cherries, subtle spices, and a slightly rustic tannic backbone. Very good length. No signs of fatigue, I wouldn't be surprised to see this holding up well for another decade. Abv. 13%. — 3 months ago
Nice everyday Burgundy. Tart black cherry, red tea leaves, lilacs. — a year ago
Juicy Burgundy (Pinot Noir) with low tannin and acidity, served at 70th birthday party at Del Frisco’s steakhouse in Back Bay, Boston — 2 months ago
More expensive every vintage and still worth it in my opinion. More about pleasure than complexity. Consistently delicious juice. — 2 months ago
Pure Chardonnay, without being overly oaky, hint of lemon, paired well with swordfish. — 4 months ago

Quite dark & structured with dark fruit, a touch moss, a whiff of fresh mushrooms,
On the palate this shows juicy acidity, a plush, firm tannic structure and dark cherry & ripe strawberry. Richer & a bit more burly, but soo drinkable and good friendly. This is a really good wine, and so good quality-price-ratio!
4h decant and drinking v. nicely right now. — 4 years ago
