Bright, translucent, fruit forward yet with the unmistakable Ahr light touch.
Bright, crunchy cherry with some darker accents, herby undergrowth, a touch of anise & orange zest, a whiff of milk chocolate. Highly inviting.
Fresh, sappy, pure and with great flow on the palate. Crunchy tannins, very juicy cherry acidity, and uplifting mineral finish.
Nothing overly complex or profound yet so delicious. Beats most Villages Bourgognes, at a fraction of the price.

A gift from my mother in law: under screw cap. The wine had a barely noticeable orange rim. Deep aromas of sweet roses, black cherry, orange rind, freshly turned earth, oolong tea; all this carried through on the palate, with the black cherry in the forefront. Good acidity and length, 13.5 abv. For the entry level Pinot aged under screw cap I am very impressed. I want to try the GG offerings now. — a month ago

Vintage 2015 | Frühburgunder makes me uncertain when to drink it? Very young within two years, are can it be kept and develop extra taste...?
