Lovely Portuguese sparkler from the Bairrada AOC north of Coimbra, cepage is 5% Cercial, 30% Bical, 30% Maria-Gomes, and 35% Arinto. Loads of bubbles, not quite as fine or delicate as a fine Champagne, but really lovely for a midweek sub-$16 sparkler!! — 4 years ago
My first sparkling Albariño! Delightful choice for a heavier pasta; cuts right through in the best way. — 2 months ago
Champagne Method Portuguese sparkler. Blend of native Portuguese grapes including Maria Gomes (23%), Bical (70%) and Cercial (7%). Aromas and flavors of pear, citrus fruits, white flowers, wet stones, honey and anise. Hint of chalk, smoke and minerals on the long finish. Expressive effervescence and creamy texture. (Lees Aging?) Unique, interesting and easy to drink. Excellent QPR. — a year ago
What a nose! Complex, enticing, quite elegant. Black fruit & black cherries, nice wood accents, a bit of earthy notes, a hint of leather. Actually very Bordeaux’esque… and yet slightly different. Warmer. Closer to Bolgheri or Maremma. So enticing.
On the palate this is much lighter - very Baga in style. Light yet with presence & punch. Love the tannic frame - present & firm yet so juicy. Brilliant freshness and purity and great depth. This has real character and is so delicious at the same time.
From centenarian Baga vineyards on stony slopes.
A brilliant wine! — 9 months ago

This is my favorite of the three Portuguese whites I drank in the last two weeks. Focused, lithe, a little floral, pomelo, white peach, green apple, sea spray. Perfect seafood wine. 12.5%. — 14 days ago
