A Monument to one of Italy’s excellent wines. Deep ruby color, with intense cherry and anise flavors. The finish is smooth, rich and elegant with a suggestion of tannins. — 3 years ago
This wine was a monolith. Open for a few hours, with steak, it showed awesome spiced cranberry jam notes. Tannins still quite noticeable, but overall structure is pretty integrated. I'd love to see this in 5 years, but wouldn't be surprised if it needs another 10! — 9 years ago

I love 21. Utterly classic but young nose of red berries, granite and a youthful grapiness. Some florals as well but a bit of a monolith aromatically out of the gates. More notes later as it opens up on the nose. Palate is so elegant my goodness and has that youthful grapiness. Huge red and darker berry fruit, perfect balance, clarity and purity. So juicy and clean but young but obviously very high quality. More notes as it evolves. Nose now closed at 3 hours but palate has gained finesse and it’s ultra juicy and pure. Finish is clipped but this is the whole package. This has a semi opulent midpalate one can get lost in. Wow. Incredible decadent Pomerol (lafleur?) fruit. Just insane. So elegant. This is the best Burgaud ever. — a year ago
Golden and perfect. White pepper nose shows rich piths of lime and grapefruit, underripe pineapple and a yeasty monolith of frozen lemon. Minerality central as silken threads of chive and celeriac streak like lightning across lemon zest, oil and pith fields to clementine reduction drops. Ethereal and transportive medicine here!

Fantastic value. — 8 years ago
Big yet elegant, goes through moves; dynamic but settles into a monolith. Spicy, balanced, but goes ibto barrel character quickly. I think it's young, but has backbone to carry juicy ripeness. Not too big, just right. Wanna hunk o beef? — 10 years ago
