"Giuseppe & Luisa" Russian River Valley Zinfandel 2021

Totally impressed with this one .. and unexpected! This has depth and a joyful Rythm every time you sip and let it in ..
If you actually take the time to respect it as you would with a big one .. and decant it … it will start playing music for you ! truly a gem …

I like these a lot but no more holding. Lacking a bit of punch. I’m late on these. — 14 days ago

Yep, that’s my observation, Aubert and in general Napa chards beyond 7-8 years of age are flakey.

Dutton Ranch Chardonnay 2021

Opulent. Buttered popcorn, lemon curd and asian pear with an oily mouth feel. Round. Maintaining some acid with a bitter note on the finish, pretty classic California Chardonnay flavor profile. — a day ago

Russian River Ranches Chardonnay 2023

This wine is straw yellow in color. Its nose gives aromas of pear and apple, with lemon coming in behind. There is a hint of oak in the bouquet. The palate brings the citrus minerality to the forefront to play with the fruit flavors. Acidity is bright, but not overpowering. The wine finishes a bit oakier than the nose would have suggested, but it is a pleasurable hit of oak spice. I paired mine with buttery potato pierogies and a carrot risotto dish, and was quite pleased. — a month ago
