ROUND, so delicious — a month ago
May not have the character of say a Baudry or Raffault Chinon, but still a profoundly true-to-terroir Chinon with all that fine grained dark berry earthiness, low on the funko-meter, & just plain ol’ low alcohol fun. Paired with brunch cheesy egg casserole of Gruyère, nutmeg, Parmesan etc that soaks overnight in Half & Half. — a year ago

Dark ruby color. Aromas of black fruit, leather, jalapeño peppers, fresh herbs a touch of barnyard funk. Bright black and red berry/currant fruit on the palate with hints of black licorice, cedar and the aforementioned fresh herbs. Long finish and firm tannins. Quite fresh tasting and elegant. Perfectly aged. I thought I was drinking a light bodied Syrah. Thank you for including this wine in your Cabernet Franc Tasting, Ron B! — 3 days ago
