Elegant and slightly floral, but not too long, and great minerality. — 2 months ago
Deep dark brooding color with rich ripe nose and blackberries and dark fruit. A winner should evolve further over next decade. — 3 months ago
Wonderful Chablis from Patrick Piuze ($42) — 5 months ago
Nearly opaque crimson color.
Rich bouquet with tannins present.
Immediately spiced on the palate with an earthy, cocoa, herbaceous, candied, fertilized quality.
Lots of gentle chocolate rounded out by dark, fresh fruit. — a month ago
Would have benefited from a few more years — 2 months ago
Very nice. Easy drinking. — 4 months ago
Oak treatment deceives on the nose. Palate displays beautiful weight and texture without gratuitous barrel influence. Butteaux is known for exuding richness, especially in warmer vintages and Piuze delivers without sacrificing acidic tension, fruit purity, and
minerality. Beautiful wine. Decant if drinking now. — 2 months ago
Smoky Syrah with a young backbone and side of the mouth pepperiness. — 2 months ago
Opened 10 days ago. Just a bit too oxidized but after a few days in Cali bothers it settled down and be a serviceable food wine, good acidity, not much complexity, oxidation blew off. — 4 months ago
