Bogle Vineyards

Phantom California Red Blend

Classic label. Spooky vine. Color is vinous blood, ruby red. Blood in the bag. Mom’s borsch. Aroma: Berry compote, beets, earthy, stream bank. Flavors are complex and rich. Long and astringent with the mineral limestone stuff of nice Shiraz. Plenty of sarsaparilla and cola within the sugars. Balance is awesome. Has something for most everyone. Complex, but not over the top. This is a great wine that makes everyone feel good about Clarksburg red. — 6 months ago

Domaine Marquis d'Angerville

Domaine du Pélican Arbois Savagnin Ouillé 2019

Apple pear. Bade dried with a freshness to it. I joked about needing a calibration since I feel like I have phantom oxidation but this was well integrated. I immediately called jura and Paul was shocked. It was an awesome wine. Good minerality and cheesy on the nose. Beautiful color. Definitely an incredible wine. — 2 years ago
