Taste: silky smooth and luscious coating the palate with red fruit, cedar, earthy soil, crushed rock and minerals with a medium plus spice dark chocolate finish. Bright medium ruby , perhaps a little more ruby on the rim than the Clos de la Dioterie . More sweetly fruited , with more red fruits than dark , spiced cherry , strawberry, raspberry , rose , roast red pepper, cranberry. Quite rounded tannin , balanced acidity . On the palate mixed summer fruits with strawberry , red cherry with good density, quite juicy but well balanced . Roasted pepper , spicy cherry , wet slate infused finish with medium length. This probably will improve over the next 5 or so years and last well a further 5-8 — 5 months ago

767 cases made. Battonage twice a week for first 2 months then once a week. 5 months on the lees.
Elderflower, lime pith, grapefruit, gooseberries and guava.
Herbaceous with slight tropical fruit.
Crisp, crisp, crisp acidity with only 11 % alcohol by volume.
Bring on the fresh oysters.

First vintage under the ownership of Le Pin. The nose starts off with abundant of blueberry, blackberry and cassis, and then turns to warm spices, black pepper, graphite, and hint of cigar box. Medium to full elegant body. Bitter sweet long finish.
