Apologies for the soiled label. Pale Ruby with a tawny edge - almost transparent. Dusty earthy mushroom aromas. Oak is absorbed and so are the tannins. Barely medium weight, elegant in fact. Interesting for a Barolo / cherry notes on palate. Perfect to accompany food - in this case home made pizza. One of the lightest Barolos I’ve ever tried but very enjoyable. — 13 days ago

We had the 2015 Vintage on 7/6/25. Medium garnet in color. Raspberry and leather on the bouquet. Leather, tobacco, raspberry and strawberry on the palate. Still had tannin, but delicious. Medium bodied, Old World. Developed nicely with air. — 10 days ago

Okay, one big note for all 7 of the terrific Xmas eve and Xmas wines. Started off with the cab/cab franc blends. Peter Michael Au Paradise ‘12 at 93 pts. The splendid Favia Cerro Sur ‘07 at 95 pts. Xmas eve traditional dinner of Meatballs and penne at 98 pts beat the Luigi Einaudi barolo mag ‘10 at 92 pts. Early Xmas day drinking started with a solid ‘16 VASO sauv blanc at 93 pts. Traditional Turkey dinner was accented by my first 100 pts post on Vinous : ‘15 Peter Michael Point Rouge Chard. Into the bad ass cabs. ‘07 Chappellet Pritchard Hill at 96 pts and ‘05 Shafer Hillside Select at 99 pts. What a holiday drinking lineup to toast a shit 2020. — 5 years ago
