Beautifully aromatic with dark cherry, damson plum, a punch of spice… round, pure, juicy. So enticing.
Lovely texture on the palate, juicy tannins, bright acidity and pure fruit. So drinkable, so pure and so food friendly.

Had this at chef Avillez’s Bairro in Lisbon’s Chiado neighborhood. First time trying a Dao DOC wine, and it was splendid. Medium bodied, dark fruit and peppery. A nice contrast to the lighter vino verde’s I’ve had a lot of in Portugal. A bottle of this in front of me would be dangerous. — 2 years ago
