2015 vintage. Holding back and initially a bit severe. Better the next day (decanting recommended) when it displayed Pauillac-like cassis and lead pencil. Black fruits, rather high acidity and good mineral length. I suspect this will benefit from further ageing. Abv. 14%. — 3 years ago

I never would have tried this without this board. It's got the nose/aroma of a SB but is cloudy, viscous and rich. Last Friday of Lent so had it with Ridgeback shrimp and Manila clams. Although not as crisp and austere as a typical SB it was delightful. — 7 years ago

2013 vintage. Paarl. A Rhône blend dominated by Shiraz (81%) with Grenache (9%), Mourvèdre (8%) and Viognier (2%). Spices, black fruits and leather. Surprisingly high acidity gives this a Northern Rhône feel. Improves with air. Decant or take your time. — 4 years ago
