I love this wine. So good and so unique. Nose is so mineral. Hint of butter as well. Some smoke and flintiness as well. Palate is racy, rich and so pure. Great focus and length. So clean. We bought this wine when we visited the winery in Sancerre. Beautiful dessert wine. Late harvest Sauvignon Blanc from a cool climate. Fresh flowers with a chalky note on the nose. Inviting golden honey notes, but sweetness is restrained compared to a Sauternes. Golden raisin, vein of minerality, with great balance. — 7 years ago

Excellent second label Bordeaux from a very underrated Chateau. Blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (50%), Merlot (35%) and Cabernet Franc (15%). I have to believe (based on the color) that a bit of Petite Verdot ended up in the blend. Dark ruby/purple/black color. Aromas of ripe black fruit, cedar wood, violet, leather and sweet baking spices. Flavors of ripe black berry/currant/plum fruit, nutmeg, cloves, earth and tobacco. Medium-plus length and beautiful balance and structure. Medium tannins that soften with aeration. Pop and pour a bottle or age it for another 5 to 7 years. — 4 days ago
