Initially tannic but this is full bodied and lush as it opened up — 7 months ago
Delicious. A Friday afternoon with friends — 9 months ago
A nice Chardonnay that we paired with a Saint Nectaire cheese. The wine is full bodied with notes of lemon zest, going very well this creamy French cheese that my brother brought back to share. @Delectable Wine this is the Savigny-Les-Beaune thanks! — 5 years ago

Best chardonnay I’ve ever had — a year ago
Saint Cosme is famous for its estate vineyards in Gigondas but they are also a highly regarded negociant with long standing relationships throughout the Rhone, giving them access to fruit from some highly regarded lieu-dits. Their Cote Rotie is no exception and this was a killer expression of 2014, if you’re into that sort of thing like I am. This bottle was provided from my cellar and was purchased upon release. Opened and splash decanted just before service. No formal notes and holy whole cluster Batman! This was straight up bussin, with rotundone for dayz! A black pepper and olive bomb with all of the garrigue and purple flowers your heart could ask for and some blood and bacon for good measure. The tannins are well integrated and the fruit is just really well balanced with the structure at this point. The finish was long with a dance of fruit and earth on the palate that was hugely satisfying. Some might be turned off by the sanguine, feral funkiness this wine possesses but for me, it’s hugely charming. Drink now or over the next 5-10 years with ease. Would be great with a meal or on its own (as it was tonight). — 4 years ago

Stripped down serious A game. Only for clinical tasters and WB fans. Wow. — a year ago
I love this wine. So good and so unique. Nose is so mineral. Hint of butter as well. Some smoke and flintiness as well. Palate is racy, rich and so pure. Great focus and length. So clean. This wine could get a stain out of a carpet. Superb freshness, concentration and purity. Long and sapid. — 4 years ago

Another forgotten 10 bottles, luckily of a very good year. The wine is old but still very nice in color, vibrant, wet leaves, cranberry. Drink now. — 6 years ago

We bought this wine when we visited the winery in Sancerre. Beautiful dessert wine. Late harvest Sauvignon Blanc from a cool climate. Fresh flowers with a chalky note on the nose. Inviting golden honey notes, but sweetness is restrained compared to a Sauternes. Golden raisin, vein of minerality, with great balance. — 7 years ago
