Incredibly fresh tasting for a wine of this age. Interesting Priorat blend of Carinena (Carignan-70%), Merlot (15%) and Cabernet Sauvignon (15%). Complex aromas of fresh herbs, forest floor, wet slate and ripe black fruits. Plum and prune flavors lead the palate with hints of blackberry and dark chocolate. Nice warm CabS aromatics - black fruit, a touch of herbs, a savoury, darker undergrowth edge.
On the palate this is velvety smooth. Amazing quality of tannins - sandy, dusty fine, juicy & fresh. With layers of dark, creamy, slightly plush fruit on top. Impeccably balanced and with nice depth. A minty hint of+ a touch of vanilla & spice.
